Black History is American History.

Slavery in Connecticut dates as far back as the mid-160's and remained legal until 1848.

Black men and women fought for equal rights and helped to shape Connecticut's history.
The fight continues today.

This event is for all citizens with the focus on people of color and their contributions to our community.

It is important that we understand how our accomplishments and participation reflects and shape the future.

It is intended to inspire us and maintain our moments of hope.

Get to know your community and all that it has to offer.

Our next Black History event will take place on Saturday, February 24, 2024.

Stay tuned for additional information.
